A Fun, Silly, & Chaotic Kiki with the Queens of Katseye

Ready to get “Gnarly” this summer? Well, the girlies of rising pop group Katseye absolutely are!

After forming through HYBE and Geffen Records’ reality talent competition series The Debut: Dream Academy (which you can watch RN on Netflix), Katseye broke out onto the mainstream music scene with their first EP SIS (Soft Is Strong) in 2024, which contained the singles “Debut” and viral TikTok favorite “Touch.”

Fast forward to 2025, and the girls — Manon, Sophia, Daniela, Lara, Megan, and Yoonchae — are going full throttle in their ascent to the top of popstardom, set to release their next EP, Beautiful Chaos, this June. And the first single off the forthcoming EP? None other than “Gnarly,” which has already taken on a life of its own in the Twitterspehere and the rest of the internet.

Last fall, shortly after the release of SIS, Gold Envelope‘s Raffy Ermac got the incredible opportunity to sit down with the queens of Katseye for a fun, silly, and chaotic (in a good way!) interview, and it turned out to be an absolute kiki where we got the chance to learn more about the talented young women behind the larger than life pop star personas.

Armed with nothing but some questions stuffed in a Staud beaded micro Tommy bag, here’s what we learned about the Katseye girlies!
