Get ready for your new swoon-worthy reality obsession!

Amazon Prime Video just recently launched a new unscripted series entitled June Farms that is the perfect mix of everyday romance, workplace drama, and some good, ole-fashioned fun on the farm — with a new face for us to follow and look up to!

“Matt Baumgartner, owner of June Farms, wants to make it the premier event space in the Hudson Valley,” the series’ official description reads. “He has his hands full every week delivering perfect bespoke weddings. With a staff of fun-loving twenty-somethings, at times more focused on their love lives than their jobs and inclement weather, this wedding season turned out to be the hardest one in June Farm’s history.”

Gold Envelope got to speak with Matt Baumgartner, the openly gay mastermind the beautiful June Farms property in the heart of New York’s Hudson Valley, and we talked about everything from his start in the hospitality industry, being openly gay in the reality TV world, his advice for people who want to be leaders, which of his castmates he would team up with in a reality TV competition, and so much more!

With all the hectic work and chaos that comes with running a venue like June Farms, leadership is a very important ability to have, and luckily, Baumgartner is not in short supply when it comes to being an effective role model for others.

“Being authentic and just being yourself and being truthful,” he said about his advice for people who want to become better leaders, regardless of what industry they’re in. “People can smell bullsh*t a mile away, and they they just want to be treated respectfully and communicated with directly. You have to learn to be a very clear, honest communicator if you want to be a good leader.”

“They also need to respect you in a certain way,” Baumgartner continued abotu making connections with his colleagues. “You can’t just like be a clear communicator who they don’t like. That’s also not going to happen. So you have to put in your time to really connect with each person in some way if you want to have a really meaningful relationship with that staff member.”
